ADLSN (www.adlsn.org) is organizing a digital repository training workshop for a limited number of participants.
This three (3) days intensive workshop is a great opportunity for knowledge and information managers, information specialists, library staff to learn about policies and best practices for planning, implementing, and managing digital content. Participants will also receive hands-on training in how to set up a digital repository, and they will even have the opportunity to create a digital repository by the conclusion of the workshop.
When: 5-7 November 2014
Where: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Who Should Attend: African system librarians, information and knowledge managers, digital repository managers and other information specialists who would like to learn how to plan, implement, and manage content in a digital repository.
Outcome: If your institution does not have a digital repository, bring digital content from your institution to set up your repository right away. ADLSN will host your digital repository on ADLC, our cloud-based platform, for one year free of charge. You will leave with your digital repository online, thereby providing broad global access to your content!
Details: The registration fee is $300 (USD) to cover the training, accommodations, and breakfast and lunch for the three days of the workshop. All participants are responsible for their own travel expenses and any visa charges. ADLSN can help participants with visa logistics.
