ADLSN is organizing a policy and management training workshop for a limited number of participants.
At this three-day intensive workshop you will learn about:
- policies, guidelines and standards for successfully implementing and managing digital solutions.
- Free and Open Source (FOSS) digital library solutions.
- ADLSN’s hosting platform, ADLC (www.adlc.info), which offers its services to those institutions with limited ICT infrastructure and technical know-how.
When: 21 – 23 September 2015
Where: Accra, Ghana
Who Should Attend: Senior librarians, library managers, information specialists, and digital content curators who would like to learn how to create and implement necessary policies, guidelines and standards for their digital libraries, with a focus on digital repository implementation.
Outcome: Each participant will leave with substantive drafts of policies and guidelines to help them get started on implementation. They will also leave with actionable next steps toward creating a technical implementation plan tailored to meet their institution’s digital library needs.
Details: The registration fee covers the training, lunch and coffee/tea for the three days of the workshop. All participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses and any visa charges. ADLSN can help participants with visa logistics.
